Carlan Jane (Bayless) Ratleff, 82, of Delaware Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on
February 3, 2025. Carlan was born in Ridgeway Ohio on July 19, 1942, to the late Marjorie (Howell) and
Delbert Bayless.
Through it all she was a loving and devoted wife to Robert Ratleff for 54 years.
She was preceded in death by daughter Melody Pierce Ratleff; grandson Rollan Ratleff;
sister Norma Jean Ratleff; Two brothers Herschell Bayless and Kenneth (Nazola)
Bayless.
Survived by sons Louis Pierce and Russell (Stephanie) Ratleff; brother David (Jodi)
Bayless; and sister Teresa (Albert) Kirk; Aunt Gwen Adams of Clevland Ohio;
grandchildren Chance (Tara), Daitan, Xavier, Landon (Taysha), Kyann (Julian); 8 great-
grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carlan graduated in 1960 from Ridgeway Local Schools. She was employed at PPG for
many years and after retirement she enjoyed gardening, putting puzzles together,
crocheting, and in her younger years belly dancing.
Friends may call on Saturday February 8, 2025, from 10:00am-12:00pm at The Snyder-
Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr. Delaware, Ohio 43015.
A graveside service to honor the significance of Carlan's life will follow at Evergreen
Memorial Cemetery, formerly known as Fairview Cemetery, 5079 Columbus Pike
Lewis Center, Ohio 43015.
