Oxford_ Roman P. Sobocinski, 54, of North Oxford, died peacefully in his home, Tuesday, December 27, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Zofia (Swieszkowski) Sobocinski of North Oxford; daughter Amanda Sobocinski of Rutland, son John Grasseschi and his wife Anita of Worcester; brother Thomas Sobocinski and his wife Alicia; sister Elzbieta Manos and her husband Paul of Holden; grandson, Emilio, niece Krystiana, and nephews Dean and Michael. He is predeceased by his father Piotr S. Sobocinski and his twin brother, Pawel Sobocinski.
Born in Worcester he graduated from St. Mary's High School and attended Central New England College, and Worcester State University. He worked as a Cost Accountant for IPG Photonics, Inc. in Oxford. Ma. Roman played intramural sports in high School (basketball and baseball) and became an avid all New England sports fan. He enjoyed his trips to Cape Cod and Florida, as well as golfing and fishing.
Roman loved spending time with his family, especially as dziadek with his grandson Emilio.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am in HENRY DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester. A funeral with a Mass will follow at 12:00 pm in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Worcester. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, 162 Webster St., Worcester. www.worcesterfuneral.com
