Romayne Seamon of Willowbrook Place, Clarks Summit died Saturday surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Stephen Seamon. Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Michalina (Itczak) Smajenski. She was a member of Mary Mother of God Parish, Scranton.

Romayne graduated from Scranton Technical High School where she enjoyed cheer leading and was a proud Red Raider Indian. Prior to retirement, she was employed as a principal's secretary at Francis Willard Elementary School, Scranton.

Surviving are a daughter Lynne and husband Kenneth Spangenberg of South Abington Township, and a son Stephen M. Seamon of Scranton. Her grandchildren are Kenneth and wife Marie Spangenberg, Heather and husband Brandon Hurtle, Cory and wife Julie Spangenberg, and CPT Zachary Spangenberg US Army with Savanna Espinoza. Romayne's great-grandchildren include Brette, Isla, Kenneth Jr., Callen Spangenberg, Scott, Savannah, and Wesley Hurtle, Maddie, Emma, and Chase Spangenberg. She also leaves several nieces and nephews and was preceded in death by by two brothers Chester Sage and Joseph Mann.

Above all, Romayne dedicated her life to her family. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Known lovingly as Mom, Gram, and Gigi, she cherished every moment with them-from cheering at sporting events, celebrating milestones, traveling, and supporting them in their many accomplishments.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Willowbrook Place for the exceptional care and compassion shown to Romayne. They also wish to thank the Hospice team for their support and comfort in her final weeks.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Holy Rosary Church 316 William Street, Scranton. Interment Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Scranton. Friends may call Wednesday morning at the church from 9:00 A.M. until mass time.

Romayne was a lover of all animals, but especially cats. In iieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
