Jonathan Phillip Stevens, 55, of Scranton PA, passed away on March 17, 2026. Jon's life was defined by his military service, his academic achievements, and long career in finance.

A 1990 graduate of Perkiomen High School, Jon served in the U.S. Navy from 1992 to 1998. He was a top graduate of the Underwater Mines Demolition School and served in Bahrain and Sigonella, Sicily, where he tested submarine-launched mines and trained international naval teams. He received the World of Wars medal at Great Lakes Boot Camp.

Following his discharge, Jon earned a 4.0 GPA from Drexel University with double majors in Finance and Accounting. He spent over twenty years in the financial sector, most recently as a Senior Financial Advisor and Portfolio Manager at Merrill Lynch.

Jon was active in local organizations, most recently serving on the board of the Abington Memorial VFW Post 7069. He was an avid reader and a life long wrestler who spoke English, Italian and Spanish fluently.

He is survived by his children, Halle Ann Stevens, Samuel Jonathan Stevens, and Luke Phillip Stevens; his wife, Sarah Ratchford Stevens; his father, Phillip Stevens; and his sister, Jennifer Stevens Wohlgemuth. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jane Below Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to either the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Staten Island NY or Scranton VET Center, Scranton PA.

A ceremony of life will be held on Sunday, March 29th between 3pm and 5pm at the Waverly Club, Waverly PA.
