COOKEVILLE CHAPEL - Ron Gardner, of Cookeville, Tennessee, was born October 15, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, and passed away peacefully Sunday, January. 25, 2026.
He spent his career in the construction industry; enjoyed riding his motorcyle, especially in the Smokey Mountains, and playing cards with his family.
Ron is survived by his wife of 57 years, Cheryl Julian Gardner, and his daughters Jennifer and Jessica. He is also survived by an extended family of four sisters, a brother, in-laws, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Claude and Marie Gardner of Waterloo, Iowa.
Hooper Huddleston and Horner Funeral Home of Cookeville, Tennessee is handling Ron’s cremation. A Celebration of life will be held in Iowa in the summer.
