Ronald James Arp of Murfreesboro, Tennessee passed from this life on Friday, August 29, 2025, at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 70 years. A native of Cleveland, Ohio, he is the son of the late Rose Marie Chester Arp and Paul Arp of Cowan, Tennessee. Along with his mother, he is preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Anthony Arp and Eddie Glen Arp and one great grandchild, Madison Rose Arp. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Daves-Culbertson Funeral Home in Tullahoma, Tennessee with Brother Danny Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery in Pelham, Tennessee. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Friday morning from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Ronald or Goat Man as he was known to his friends, was a Mechanic at Wire Grass for many years. He loved his family and friends and was one of the best friends a person could ever have. When he was younger, he fought roosters and his grandchildren came up with the pet name, "Papa Chicken" for him. He loved his dog, Scooby, and he enjoyed working. He loved cookouts and hosting family events for his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. His survivors include his dad, Paul Arp of Cowan, Tennessee, his significant other, Mary Harley of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, children, Chris (Angie) Arp of Tullahoma, Tennessee, Elisha Thompson of Beech Grove, Tennessee, Kitzie (Jessie) Shipley of Manchester, Tennessee, Lindsey Arp of Lewisburg, Tennessee, Travis Lowe of McMinnville, Tennessee, Tyler Lowe of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Lisa Alves of Columbus, Tennessee. He is also survived by two brothers, Paul Arp of Manchester, Tennessee, Daniel Lee Sr of Cowan, Tennessee, sister, Angie "Cookie" Henson of Texas, twenty-five grandchildren and thirty-three great grandchildren.
