Ronald Dean Bethke, 91, died November 22, 2025 at Heather's House Hospice in Fargo, ND.
Ron was born April 29, 1934 in Edgeley, ND to Fred August Bethke and Elizabeth (Maus) Bethke.
Preceding him in death were one brother; one nephew; one daughter-in-law; and one great grandson.
Surviving are his wife of 70 years, Lugardia Bethke; five children, Pamela Bethke, Steve Bethke, Monica Abrams, Janice Bethke, and Patricia Christoph; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister, Alice Bethke Ellis; and one niece.
Ron graduated from Dakota Business College in 1953. He spent his entire career with Ford Motor company, working in Fargo, ND, Minneapolis, MN, Louisville, KY, and finally, Houston, TX.
In retirement, he and his wife split their time between their lake cabin on Little McDonald in Minnesota, and their home in Lakeland, FL. Both homes were frequented by his children and grandchildren, enjoying the wonderful experiences he and his wife provided for them. Ron held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, and they gave him much joy as they grew into adulthood.
In 2020, he and Gardie moved back home to Fargo, residing in Grace Pointe at Bethany on 42nd. Ron will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
There will be a memorial service for the family at a later date in Perham, MN, where he will be interred in St. Henry's Catholic Church Cemetery.
