Ronald A. Boardway, 65, of Pheonix, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Ron was born in Syracuse on September 7, 1958 to the late Charles and Kathryn (Smith) Boardway Sr. He married Linda Koegel on September 2nd, 1991. He retired after 30 plus years from OCRRA as a machine operator. Ron also belonged to the Beacon Baptist Church in Clay, NY. Besides his faith, he was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and fourwheeling in his free time.
Ronald was a proud member of the Phoenix Fire Department for over 13 years. His patriotism and dedication to his community will forever be remembered. He was stubborn and hard headed, but a dedicated family man at heart. His best moments were spending time with his loved ones as a dad, brother and grandpa.
He is survived by his wife of over 32 years; Linda, his children; Matthew (Shauna) Boardway and Liz Boardway, his sister; Marge (Michael) Lambert, his grandchildren; Lily Halstead and Hailey Halstead, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides his parents, Ron is predeceased by his son; Ronald Boardway Jr., and his siblings; Mary Pitcher and Charles F. Boardway Jr.
Visitation will be held Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at the Beacon Baptist Church at 4800 state route 31 in Clay, NY. A Funeral Service will Follow on Friday, October 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM, also at the Beacon Baptist Church.
Arrangements are entrusted to Traub Funeral Home in Central Square, NY where memories and words of comfort can be shared with the family at www.traubfh.com.
