Phylis Eggleston Obituary
Phylis worked for many years at Pleasant Lawn Cemetery, where she cared for the flowers and maintained the headstones with dedication and pride. She enjoyed growing her own flowers and tending to her flower beds; her remarkable green thumb never went unnoticed. She also spent years caring for her father, Rexford LaRock, supporting him with love and patience through advanced Alzheimer's disease.
She was predeceased by her parents, Rexford and Emma (Parkhurst) LaRock; brothers Rexford Jr., Larry, Freddy, and Bill; and sisters Rita and Blanche.
She is survived by her twin brother Philip (Marie) LaRock, Children Kenneth (Hope) Fields; Lisa (Cary) Webb; Emma (John) McDonald; and Brian (Elizabeth) Eggleston Jr. She is also survived by her grandchildren Sabrina and Brianna Fields; Karl Riker Jr. and Christian Webb; Jordan, Jaelen, and Julian McDonald; and Logan, Gabriel, Brian James, Abbigail, and Rexford Eggleston; along with several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on February 21, 2026, from 12:00–2:00 PM at Traub Funeral Home, 684 N. Main St., Central Square, NY 13036. Services will follow immediately afterward.
