Ronald Bode Obituary
A native of Wood Lake, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Erwin Christian and Edna Engel Bode. Mr. Bode was a United States Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran helicopter pilot who was awarded twenty-eight air medals throughout his career. He retired from a civilian career in corrugated paper manufacturing and attended Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, Mr. Bode is survived by his daughters: Tristan Patrick (Wes) of Lexington, SC; Janene Hill (Todd) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; son: Jeffrey Bode (Libby) of Fort Worth, TX; sister: Joy Barclay of Bemidji, MN; grandchildren: Jessica Nicole, Jacqueline Kaye, Hailey Brooke, Lucas Wesley, Jordan Dayle, Brennan August, Morgan Alise, Rhys Friedrich, and Rhett Thaxton.
Mr. Bode was preceded in death by brothers Kenneth and Allen Bode.
A memorial service will be held at Eternal Shepherd Lutheran Church at 1 PM on 23 September, followed by an opportunity to visit with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ron's memory to the Veteran's Last Patrol (www.veteranlastpatrol.org).
