CARLSON, Ronald G. - Age 77, of Fenton, passed away, Tuesday, June 6, 2023. Funeral Service 4:00 PM Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton. Visitation 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM Thursday. Memorial Contributions in Ronald's memory would be appreciated to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Ronald was born December 25, 1945 in Detroit, The son of Evar and Eva (DeClerk) Carlson. He married Shirley MacIlroy in Southfield June 29, 1973. Ronald graduated from Southfield-Lathrup High School in 1963. He was the Founder and Owner of Carlsons' Greenhouse. He opened his first Greenhouse in Hazel Park, he then opened a Greenhouse in Royal Oak before moving to their current location in Fenton in 1984. Ronald was a vendor at the Eastern Market in Detroit for over 50 years. He was a "Workaholic." Ronald enjoyed Cruising with Shirley, boating and snowmobiling. He loved his Goldendoodle, Murphy!
Ronald is survived by: his wife, Shirley; daughters, Tammy (Scott) Gregory, and Michele Carlson; grandchildren, Bradley and Eva Gregory; brother, Roger Carlson; sister-in-law, Barb Carlson; niece, Julie Andes: Nephews, Kurt and Erik Carlson.

Shirley, don't know if you will read this or not, especially since I am so late.
I had no idea that Ron had passed as we were out west in June and July. We are sorry for your loss. I always considered you both my life savers back in 1972, and will always remember freezing my fingers off making blankets in Royal oak, and you taking the chance of letting me move in to your upper flat in Ferndale.
Much Love and Peace this Christmas, the first one is the hardest.
