Ronald Carlson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Erickson-Rochon and Nash Funeral Home - Iron Mountain on Mar. 10, 2026.
Ronald E. Carlson, 66, of Kingsford passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, WI.

He was born in Iron Mountain, MI on Nov. 29, 1959, to the late Robert Carlson and Janet Fredrickson. Ron was a graduate of Kingsford High School. He went right to work following graduation and particularly enjoyed the people he met during his time with Selin's Furniture and maintaining the grounds at First National Bank. Ron loved tinkering and working on his cars alongside his son, Brett. Not only was he a hard worker but he had a big heart, helping anyone around him in need. Ron's love for nature and animals led him to spend much of his free time outdoors with his two puppies, Ozzy and Odie, or visiting whatever zoos and wildlife preserves he could get to. He also enjoyed watching the Packers.

Ron is survived by his 2 sons, Brett Carlson (fiance, Leila Plunger) and Dylan (Patrice) Carlson; brother, Rich Fredrickson; nephew, Zach Fredrickson; step-father, Fred Fredrickson; former wife, Dana; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Carlson.

Visitation will be at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, followed by the funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
