Ronald M. Cesarek, 80, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, while under the compassionate care of hospice at Cate’s House in Ocala, Florida. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Ron was the son of Helen T, (Wronowski) Cesarek and Donald A. (Wisniewski) Wisner. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Staff Sergeant. Following his military service, Ron enjoyed a long and successful career with Ford Motor Company before his retirement. In 2002, he and his beloved wife, Jackie L. (McIntyre-Morris) Cesarek, made their home in Dunnellon, Florida, after moving from Gibraltar, Michigan.
A man of deep faith and service, Ron was an active member of the Catholic Community of St. John the Baptist and the American Legion Post 58 in Dunnellon. He volunteered faithfully with St. John’s Men’s Club and the parish Food Pantry, always ready to lend a helping hand. Even as his health declined in recent years and he was unable to attend church in person, his faith, generosity, and good humor continued to inspire those who knew him. Family was at the heart of Ron’s life and he took great joy in spending time with his loved ones, celebrating their milestones, and sharing stories that reflected his pride in them.
Ron was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jackie Cesarek; his stepsons, Thomas E., Robert E., and Russell C. Morris; and his step-grandson, Kevin R. Morris. He is survived by his half-siblings, Janice B. Jonassen and Derys D. Filinger; his stepdaughter, Kelly L. Marklow; his step-grandchildren, Thomas A. Morris, Kristina A.L. Marklow, Lisa M. Henderson, and Robert A. Seivertson; several step-great-grandchildren; and many half nieces and nephews who will fondly remember him.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Catholic Community of St. John the Baptist Church in Dunnellon, with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service. Ron will be laid to rest at a later date at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
