Jetmore – Ronald Lavern Cohoon, 81, passed away October 3, 2025 at Hodgeman County Health Center, Jetmore.

He was born July 26, 1944 in Jetmore, the son of Vernon Lloyd and Edith Alfreda Larkin Cohoon.

A lifetime area resident, he was a farmer and member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jetmore. He enjoyed racing, spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and family.

On June 7, 1964 he married VaDonna Leann Beltz at Jetmore; she survives.

Other survivors include: two sons, Darin (Christina) Cohoon and Chad (Barb) Cohoon, both of Jetmore; brother, Jay (Rita Watton) Cohoon, Salina; seven grandchildren, Kelsey (Kenton) Ubelaker, Carson (Teryn) Cohoon, Tyler (Kelli) Beougher, all of Jetmore, Chelsie (Tyler) Akers, Dodge City, Carli (Isaiah) Nunnery, Hays, Colbi (Trevor) Morgan, Jetmore, Dalton Beougher, Dodge City; twelve great grandchildren, Kanen, Kaycee, Roman, Mia, Holden Tate, Carson, Averie, Tylinn, Gatlin, Reed, Renna, Nash; and his fur baby, Sissy.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Brenda Seeman.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2025 at the United Presbyterian Church, Jetmore with Reverend Stanley Palmer presiding. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Beckwith Funeral Home, Jetmore, with family present from 5-6 p.m. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Jetmore.

Memorials may be given to Hodgeman County EMS in care of Beckwith Funeral Home, PO Box 663, Jetmore, Kansas 67854. Personal condolences may be left at www.beckwithfuneralhome.com.
