Ronald Arnold Cooney, 87, of Booneville, Arkansas, passed from this life on Sunday, March 29, 2026. He was born January 18, 1939, in Los Angeles, California.

He served as a veteran in the United States Army and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Booneville, as well as the Gideons International. He was a cattle farmer and former electrician and enjoyed raising goats and Arabian horses.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Violet Cooney; sons, Patrick and Jonathan Cooney; and daughters, Ginger and Violet Cooney.

Memorial service will be at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 3, 2026, at First Baptist Church in Booneville, under the direction of Roberts Funeral Home.

Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Anne Cooney of the home; daughters, Daphne Bendel (Bill) of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and Deborah Wood of American Fork, Utah; grandchildren, Zachariah, Riley, Kaylene, Samuel, and Jacob; great grandchild, Brooklyn; and other relatives and friends.
