Ronald Glenn Cooper, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great-grandfather passed away peacefully on January 12, 2026, at the age of 90. Ron was born on April 19, 1935, in Pike County, Ohio, to Sherman Cooper and Nola (Hatch) Cooper.
After serving in the United States Army, Airborne division, Ron built a notable career as a chief tool engineer, where his attention to detail and innovation left a lasting impact on those around him. Ron enjoyed various hobbies. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed hunting and boating, as well as traveling and spending time with his family. Ron also cherished his time spent playing cards, which he usually won, because he approached it with the same strategic mind that he employed in his engineering career.
Ron is survived by his loving wife, Nellie V. (Brooks) Cooper; children, Debra Cooper Faulkner, Danette (Pete) Cooper Murphy, Jessica (Zoltan) von Dienes-Oehm, Daniel (Nickie) Smith and Drema Smith; grandchildren: Jason (Theresa) Faulkner, Jeremy (Kristina) Faulkner, Joshua Faulkner, Jordan (Julie) Faulkner, Jeffrey (Brit) Faulkner, Carl (Melinda) Murphy, Jillian (Andy) Carter, and Jennifer Carter; 31 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous other relatives and friends. Ron is preceded in death by his parents Sherman and Nola Cooper; his siblings Donald, Jack and Nancy; his son-in-law, Olaf Faulkner Jr. and his granddaughter, Sarah Murphy.
Visitation/Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mueller Funeral Home, 6791 Tylersville Road, Mason, OH 45040, and his Service/Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 PM.
