Alan Dale Midkiff, fondly known as Al, passed away on December 31, 2025, in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the age of 69. Born on July 26, 1956, he spent his life devoted to his family and a career dedicated to helping others.

A proud graduate of Lakota High School in 1974, Al was an accomplished saxophonist in the school band, setting the stage for a life filled with music and connection. He embarked on a notable career as a paramedic, serving the community for over 27 years with Rural Metro and offering his emergency medical services to the West Chester and Liberty Township departments as a volunteer. His commitment to his work exemplified his passion for aiding others, a value that resonated throughout his life and career.

In addition to his professional achievements, Al cherished his role as a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Mona (nee Vincent) Midkiff; his two children, Matthew Midkiff and Brittney Midkiff; and his cherished granddaughter, Saphira Hester. Al took great pride in being a dad and grandpa, creating lasting memories with his family.

When his health permitted, Al found joy in the great outdoors, enjoying camping and hiking, pursuits that allowed him to immerse himself in nature and spend precious time with loved ones.
