Mr. Ronald Clellan Coyle, age 82, of Richmond, passed away Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Baptist Health – Richmond.
Mr. Coyle, the son of the late William Ivan and Laura Royalty Coyle, was born on May 20, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland. He spent his growing up years in Boyle County. On September 21, 1963, he married Barbara Ann Wagner Coyle and they raised their family in Lexington. In 1990, they moved to Newark, Ohio where he retired from Rockwell as a Machinist. While there, he served on the Board of Directors for Harvest Federal Credit Union. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking bread, playing the guitar and was an all-around handyman. In 2016, they moved back to Richmond where he served as a Song Leader for the University Church of Christ. Most importantly, he treasured his family and his faith and was often found pouring over his Bible.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Coyle is also survived by two sons: Ashley (& Melissa) Coyle of Johnson City, Tennessee and Robert Adam Coyle of Newark, Ohio; his daughter: Stephanie Aileen Coyle of Newark Ohio, his brother: Lyle (& Joan) Coyle; two granddaughters: Abbigail Joan Coyle (& Wesley Bradley) and Salena Ann Coyle and his nephew and nieces.
In addition to his parents, Ron is also preceded in death by his only sister: Geneva Shirley Coyle
Visitation will be held from 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM Friday at Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be begin at 7:00 PM Friday at the funeral home with Jay Dixon and Keith Wagner officiating.
