Ronnie Cross, 72, of Courtland, passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at Decatur Health and Rehab Center. Visitation will be from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Elmwood Cemetery in Town Creek with Bro. Scotty Letson and Ambrey Reding officiating.
Born in Lawrence County on May 9, 1952 to the late Garnett and Betty Birdyshaw Cross, Ronnie cherished every chance he could attend church and fellowship with his church family.
Survivors include his sisters, Judy (Ray) Terry, Mary (Clayton) Thomas, Cindy Long, and Lenora (Paul) James; brothers, Willie (Kim) Cross, and Doug Cross; stepmother, Sue Cross; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Cross; parents; and brother, Donnie Cross.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
The family extends special thanks to all of the staff at Decatur Health and Rehab along with Gentiva Hospice. A special thank you is given to Bro. Scotty Letson and his church family for their faithful support and care for Ronnie.
