Ronald Daniel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 8, 2025.
Ronald Clark Daniel, 79, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2025, at his home in Knoxville, Tennessee. Born on December 21, 1945, in Owensboro, Kentucky, he was the only and beloved child of the late Lawrence and Martine Daniel.

Ron graduated from Owensboro High School and Kentucky Wesleyan College. He worked at Brenntag Chemical Company for over 20 years, first as a sales representative and then as a branch manager. He always valued his relationships with co-workers and formed lifelong friendships throughout his career.

Ron's positive energy was contagious - he brought light and laughter wherever he went. He had a gift for making everyone feel at ease, whether through his infectious sense of humor or his warm and welcoming presence. A great cook, Ron loved nothing more than preparing meals for his friends and family. He took great joy in bringing people together around the dinner table, making sure everyone enjoyed a delicious meal, felt completely at ease, and were always entertained with his wit and humor.

Ron loved spending long days on the golf course with friends, and nothing made him happier than watching a winning game played by his favorite teams, the New York Yankees and the Kentucky Wildcats. He never missed watching a game when either team played.

He is survived by his wife, Frankie Daniel; his daughter, Lori (Daniel) Witcher (Spencer) of Bowling Green, KY; his son, David Daniel (Natalie) of Newburgh, IN; stepdaughters Angie Riedl (Alec) of Knoxville, TN, and Mandy Jordan (Brad) of Kilmarnock, VA; eleven grandchildren: Avery, Claudia, and Leah Witcher; Abbey and Isabel Daniel; John and Matt Riedl; Andrew Davidson; Anna Utz; Will and Nate Jordan; three great-grandchildren; and two life-long friends who were as close as brothers, Danny Watkins and Bruce Riney.

Ron will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his spirit and the memories of his laughter, warmth, and generosity will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Earlier today

I met Ron Daniel when he was living in the West Hills Subdivision in Knoxville..probably in the late 1980s. I had art gallery/framing shop in the West Hills Shopping Center and Ron would come in to get things framed. Ron, my employee, Jane Rogers and I got to be friends and would go next door to Michael's "Cow Palace" for happy hour on several occasions. After we moved our shop from West Hills to Cedar Bluff, we lost touch with Ron. I always wondered what happened to him. He was a great guy..alway a handshake and a big smile.
