Ronald N. DeBonis, of Clarksville, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by family on December 25, 2025, at the age of 80. He was born on September 14, 1945, in Elkton, MD. He was the son of Catherine (DeBonis) Bryan and Willard G. Bryan, Sr. of Elkton, MD.
Ron was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in Clarksville, MD. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force for several years, including a year of dedicated service during the Vietnam War.
He had a distinguished 34-year career as a Senior Sales Executive with several major telecommunications companies; he retired from Lucent Technologies in 2003. Alongside his achievements in sales, he was also the owner and operator of DeBonis Realty, where he took pride in serving the Montgomery County community.
Ron enjoyed golfing with friends, fishing with his children, and participating in the Ocean City Fishing Club Annual Surf Fishing Tournament in Ocean City, MD. Above all, his wife, children, and grandchildren were his greatest joy. He cherished every moment spent with them, finding his deepest happiness and sense of purpose in their love and togetherness.
He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Patricia (Daly) DeBonis; son, Robert J. DeBonis (Annamarie) of Highland, MD; daughter, Kathleen A. Carliss (William) of Frederick, MD; son, Jeffrey E. DeBonis (Linda) of Columbia, MD; beloved grandchildren, Brendan R. Gentry-DeBonis (Lydia) of Nashville, TN, Isaac DeBonis of Boston, MA, Madelyn A. Carliss and Sophia E. Carliss of Frederick, MD, Jaden E. DeBonis of Columbia, MD; brother, Willard G. Bryan (Mary Ann); niece, Alison Andrews (Matthew) of Elkton, MD.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, January 5, 2026, at Donaldson Funeral Home of Clarksville, P.A., 12540 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.
A Solemn Funeral Mass will be held at 12:30 PM on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at St. Louis Roman Catholic Church, 12500 Clarksville Pike, Clarksville, MD 21029.
Interment will be at St. Louis Catholic Church Cemetery immediately following the Mass.
A Celebration of Life reception will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church Social Hall immediately following the interment.
