Ronald Lee Dobberstein

Ronald Lee Dobberstein, age 68, passed away on January 23, 2026, in Muskegon, Michigan. Ron was born to Donald and Lila Dobberstein on July 10, 1957, in Muskegon, Michigan. Ron graduated from Mona Shores High School and worked for many years as a machinist for Knoll.

Ron will be remembered as a friendly, likable, and kind person who was easy to talk to. Ron's easy-going and talkative personality made him many lifelong friends with whom he enjoyed hanging out and watching sports. He collected guitars, enjoyed attending auctions, and held a spectacular annual Fourth of July fireworks show. Above all, Ron loved his family. He demonstrated this by faithfully caring for his mother in her final years of life.

Ron will be missed by his siblings, Rick Dobberstein, Kari (David) Martin, and Julie (Tim) Reid; nieces and nephews, Amber, Ashley, Ryan (Courtney), Amanda (Josh), Holly (Cameron), Andy (Anna), and Jenny (Zach); and seven great-nieces and nephews. Ron is preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of life gathering will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. The family will share remarks at 3:00 pm. Memorial contributions in Ron's honor may be made to the Child Abuse Council of Muskegon.
