Ronald Dobrzenski Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 1, 2025.
Ronald Anton Dobrzenski, a cherished soul known for his kind heart and gentle nature, passed away on June 3, 2025, in Chicago, IL, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on January 9, 1956, in Waukegan, IL, to Tony and Beverly Dobrzenski, Ronald grew up with a spirit of joy and generosity that would define his entire life.
Ron's life was a testament to the power of love and the joy of family. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Deanna, with whom he shared countless memories and laughter. Together, they raised three wonderful daughters: Christi Nicholson (Marc), Brandi Klimas (Jimmy), and Tami Stypik (Marek). Ron's role as a father was one of his greatest joys, but it was his transition to grandfatherhood that added a new depth to his happiness. His grandchildren, Isabelle and William Nicholson, and Mason and Addie Klimas, were the lights of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with them.
A true fan of the Chicago sports teams, Ron's passion for the game was infectious. He not only enjoyed watching sports but also shared his love for the game through coaching softball, where he inspired many young athletes with his dedication and sportsmanship. His interest in sports was paralleled by his love for movies, which provided a wonderful escape and the opportunity for family bonding.
Travel was another of Ron's passions, with Disney being a particularly magical destination for him. The joy and wonder of these adventures remained some of his most treasured memories. At home, he found solace in the simple pleasures of life, such as feeding the birds and squirrels or retreating to his man cave, a sanctuary where he could relax and reflect, with his adoring puppies, Ginger Snap and Spice Drop.
Ron's presence was a source of comfort and strength to all who knew him. He was described by friends and family as a "good guy" whose loving nature was evident in his every action. His passion for life, combined with his gentle demeanor, made him a pillar in the lives of those he touched.
Though preceded in death by his parents, Tony and Beverly Dobrzenski, Ron's legacy of love and kindness lives on through his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will be cherished and celebrated, a beacon of what it means to live a life full of passion, love, and gentle kindness.
Ronald Anton Dobrzenski's life was a beautiful journey that enriched the lives of those around him. He will be deeply missed, but the warmth of his love will continue to shine in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
In remembrance of Ron, memorial contributions may be made to PM&L Theatre-Stage Struck Youth Program and Northern Ice Fastpitch-JG Team.
