Ronald Lee Dobson

Ronald Lee "Ronnie" Dobson, known for his warmth, humor, and unwavering dedication, passed away on Monday April 8th, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. 
Ronnie was born on June 27th, 1945, in Newkirk, Oklahoma, to Fred and Elsie Dobson “Grampy & Grammy”. Raised with a strong work ethic and a love for his community, Ronnie attended Oklahoma State University before bravely serving his country in the Army. 
In the journey of life, Ronnie met and married Janie Roby, with whom he shared the joys and challenges of raising two beloved sons. Later in life, Ronnie found love again with Deborah Dobson “Brown” whose memory he cherished dearly even after her passing. His heartwarming devotion to Deborah was a testament to the depth of his love and compassion. 
Ronnie was a man of many talents and passions. As a farmer east of Newkirk, he tended to the land with care and dedication, finding solace and purpose in the rhythm of the seasons. Additionally, Ronnie shared his mechanical expertise as a valued member of the Walmart team in Ponca City, where his friendly smile and willingness to lend a hand brightened the days of many. 
One of Ronnie's greatest joys was sharing his love of cars with his two sons, George of Bartlesville, OK, and Jeff of Owasso, OK. Ronnie's guidance and encouragement fostered a bond that will endure through generations. 
Ronnie will be deeply missed by his sons, George and Jeff, his grandchildren, Cooper, Cameron, and Jecelle as well as his daughters in Law Jessica and Marcy. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Deborah Dobson, his parents, Fred and Elsie Dobson.  
A celebration of Ronnie's life will be hosted by Miller-Stahl Funeral Home on April 15th, 2024, at 10:30 AM at Grandview Cemetery in Kaw City, OK. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to The Journey Home in Bartlesville, OK where he spent the last few days of his life being taken care of comfortably by the loving Care takers and Volunteers. Ronnie's legacy of love, laughter, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Though he may be gone, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire us all.
