Ronald D. Draege, 82, of Pinckneyville, IL, formerly of Rochester, passed away at 10:45 AM on November 15, 2025, at St. John's Hospital, from natural causes. Ronald retired from Martin Equipment in Springfield, IL. He loved his Australian Terrier Matty and loved to travel and sight see. Ron & his late wife, Beverly, along with his beloved Matty, visited 49 of the 50 states together. He was a hard, dependable worker and was very knowledgeable of many things. He enjoyed spending time with his family & friends. He was born in DuQuoin, IL. on February 23, 1943. He was the son of William and Ruth (Knapp) Draege.
Ron is survived by his sister in law Carol (Nohava) Draege; nephews, Lyle Draege, Randy Moss, Steve Moss, and Andrew Draege. Nieces, Rae Jean Crosno and Sarah Draege and many other nieces and nephews & great nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Beverly (Ferreira) Draege; two sisters, Wilma Jean Smith and Dorothy Moss; two brothers, William Draege and Ralph Draege.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025 from 4:00-6:00PM at Wilson Park Funeral Home, 200 E. Main St. in Rochester.
Graveside services will take place on Saturday, November 22, at 10:00AM at Zion Cemetery in Pawnee.
Per Ronald's request, in lieu of flowers please give a donation to a local Animal Shelter or Humane Society.
Wilson Park Funeral Home in Rochester is assisting the family with arrangements.
