Ronald Eugene Dunham, 79, of Marion passed away peacefully late Wednesday evening, June 4, 2025 at Marion General Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on December 29, 1945 in Delaware and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. On June 11, 1992, he married Donna Mae Leppert and together they share 32 years of marriage. Sadly, Donna passed on January 19, 2024.
Ronald enjoyed dancing with his wife, fishing, playing euchre, camping, dominoes, cooking and ethnic foods. He also enjoyed his feline companions. He was a member of the Eagles #376 and VFW Post #3297 of Delaware and the American Legion Post #584 of Marion.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Candy Cooke of Marion, Ronald Eugene (Danielle) Dunham of Davenport, Florida, Tammy (Tim) Ward of Ashley, and Randy (Regina) Dunham of Marengo; bonus children, Charles (Ginger) Willis Jr. of Pataskala and Wayne Edward (Mary) Willis of Delaware; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father Francis Elmer Dunham, his mother Minnie (Bill) Heath, granddaughter Brittany Ward, sisters Teresa Kitchen and Linda Albright, and the mother of his children Diana Mae Rease.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 4 - 6 pm at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where services celebrating his life will follow at 6:00 pm with military honors provided by the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1095 and members of the United States Army. The family will then host a reception in the Snyder Funeral Center Community Room.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ronald's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Delaware County, 4920 OH-37, Delaware, OH 43015.
