John Lewis Obituary

He was born December 4, 1966 in Cleveland, Ohio to Miller Lewis Jr. and Doris Jean (Collier) Lewis and graduated from Delaware Hayes High School in 1985. He then attended Cleveland State University.
On September 21, 1987, he married the love of his life Karol McArthur. Together they shared almost 38 years of marriage.
John worked as a production scheduler/supervisor for Sam Dong Ohio for 39 years. A man of God, he was a member of the Agape International Church and the Redman Lodge. He loved spending time with his family, attending family gatherings and watching football and basketball. He enjoyed collecting DC and Marvel comic books and listening to music, especially Prince. A fan of the original Fantastic Four and Marvel Cinematic Universe, he enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids to the movies and cooking.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Karol; children, Cierra Lewis, Nikyta Barber, Trey (Angela) Lewis, and Corsica Barber and her fiance' Drew Sample; grandchildren, Amira Lewis, Davion Jones, Damien Lewis, and Lillia Flovin; mother, Doris Jean Lewis; brother, Miller Edward (Jennifer) Lewis Sr.; special sister, Rhonda Mason; best friend, Mickey Hill; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
John was preceded in death by his father and his sister Dawn Lewis.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William Street, Delaware, where services celebrating John's life will follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Michael Curtis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will then host a repast in the Snyder Funeral Center Community Room following the graveside.
