Ron (Ronald) Eisold found peace on September 22, 2025 at the age of 86.
He joins his late wife of 46 years, Susan Grace Eisold (nee Mercer), in eternal peace. Ron was born in Milwaukee, on December 4, 1938 to the late Richard and Dorothy Eisold (nee Gleixner). He is survived by his sister Kathleen Stroebel, and his two children, Di Philippi (Gary) and Chris (Cathy Voss). Ron was proud Papa to Josh Eisold (Kate) and Kayleigh (Kat Grunert) and to great-grandchildren, Toby and Logan Eisold.
Ron's wife Sue was his everything. They were childhood sweethearts, growing up in the same neighborhood. Legend lives on of how the youngsters were spotted holding hands in the alley behind their childhood homes. They were married on June 15, 1963, after Ron's service in the U.S. Air Force and Sue's graduation as a Medical Technologist. They started out together renting on Moltke Avenue, then 67th and Meinecke, while working hard and saving for their dream of home ownership. In 1972, they were able to buy a fixer-upper on Keefe Avenue where they built their life together, together with their kids and grandkids.
Ron enjoyed car racing and classic cars. One of his favorite experiences was driving a real Nascar race car at the Milwaukee Mile with the Richard Petty Driving Experience. In the 60's and 70's, he was a pioneer in radio controlled (RC) cars and his Super Modified Racer 1/8 RC Scratch Built Car was featured in multiple magazines and now sits in the Golden Years RC Auto Museum.
He was also a pioneer in the age of personal computers in the 80's and was a self-taught computer programmer and built his own computers from scratch. Ron had amazing skills to build and fix just about anything and he showed his love for his family as he helped with countless home improvement projects and auto maintenance.
Papa treasured his time with grandchildren Josh and Kayleigh at "The Yellow House" (which he painted himself) where the kids slept over with Grandma and Papa – and they biked, walked to the park, ate "little chips," played games, gardened together, and generally spoiled the grandkids with "extra raisins," trips to the Hostess Store, and so much more.
Ron/Dad/Papa will live forever in our memories. Private family services are being held according to Ron's wishes.
