Ronald C. Flanigan, 85, of Haywood, WV passed into the arms of God on Sunday, September 14, 2025. Ronnie was born on June 29, 1940, in Haywood. He was the middle son of Clarence "Dixie" and Nellie (Bumbledare) Flanigan.
He is survived by two brothers: Edward (Janice) Flanigan of Clendenin, and James (Debbie) Flanigan of Lumberport; Nieces: Rhonda (David) Williams, Valerie (Tony) Frances, and Cindy (Darren) Hardman; Nephews: James (Trish) Flanigan and Joshua Flanigan.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie was preceded in death by his half-sister, Juanita (Flanigan) Cain; and nieces Mylynda Flanigan and Lisa Flanigan.
Ronnie had previously worked for Mariott Corporation in Washington, D.C. and later retired from Harrison Power Station, Haywood. He was a graduate of Lumberport High School.
Friends will be received at Perine Funeral Home, 1348 S. Pike St. Shinnston, on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Patrick Seneff officiating. Cremation will follow the service with a private burial at a later date.
The family would like to thank Lena, Ronnie's caregiver for several months and Rosewood in Grafton, where he had resided for the past three months. Their staff provided excellent care for him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bible Baptist Fellowship Church, 6287 Shinnston Pike, Shinnston, or to a charity of your choice. The Perine Funeral Home is honored to serve the Flanigan Family.
