Funeral service for Ronald Ray Foster, 84, of Lufkin, will be held Monday, August 18, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Shafer Funeral Home in Lufkin with Bro. Ty Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Garden of Memories Memorial Park in Lufkin. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 18, 2025, at Shafer Funeral Home.

Mr. Foster was born on July 24, 1941, in Kilgore, Texas, to Carl Henry Foster and Agnes McDuff, and died Thursday, August 14, 2025, in Lufkin.

Mr. Foster served his Country proudly in the Army and the National Guard. He was a New Jersey State Trooper for 27 years. Mr. Foster enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all Ronald loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Carolann Foster of Lufkin; son and wife, Timothy and Conni Foster of Lufkin; daughter and husband, Rhonda and Chris Geddis of Pennington, NJ; son and wife, Ron and Beatriz Reyes-Foster of Orlando, FL; daughter and husband, Tara Kay and Chris Ernest of Aldie, VA; grandchildren, Crystal Reynolds, Cassidy Foster, Jacqueline O'Brien, Brandon Geddis, Colby Geddis, Aydin Reyes-Foster, Rowan Reyes-Foster, Miles Reyes-Foster, Emory Ernest, and Holden Ernest; great-grandchildren, Stella Reynolds, Abel Reynolds and Saylor O'Brien; brother, Ray Silvertooth; sisters, Donna Vincent, Billie Kay Rains, and Billie Jean Conerly.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Delmer Foster, RB Silvertooth, MC Silvertooth, Bill Silvertooth, Jamie Silvertooth; and sister, Earlie Silvertooth.

Pallbearers will be Ron Reyes-Foster, Timothy Foster, Chris Geddis, CJ Reynolds, Abel Reynolds, and Lance Hall.
