Peggy Baker Foster, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many, passed away peacefully on August 27, 2025, at the age of 66 in Richmond, Kentucky. Born on January 3, 1959, in Lexington, Kentucky, Peggy grew from humble beginnings into a woman of unshakable strength and grace. She faced every hardship, including her final battle with ALS, with the same strength and grace that defined her life, never wavering in her love or her joy.

Peggy studied Microcomputers and Programming at the University of Kentucky, and her 30-year career spanned from the UK Administration building to serving as an Applications Analyst II for the UK Chandler Medical Center. She devoted many years to the University of Kentucky where she not only contributed to the care of thousands but also formed lasting bonds with her colleagues and those she served. Peggy's interests reflected her devotion to both history and family. After her mother's passing, she embraced genealogy and carried on the work of tracing her family's lineage. That research led to her membership in the Daughters of the American Revolution, a distinction she held with pride. Even so, her greatest joy came from being a grandmother and great-grandmother, where her boundless love became the true strength of the family tree.

For Peggy, the kitchen was more than a room; it was the place where Southern pride met perfection. Her beer cheese and fudge were crafted with love and care until they were just right. Around the holidays, her table brimmed with cookies, buckeye balls, and countless treats that family and friends eagerly awaited each year.

Peggy met Larry "Pat" Foster on New Year's Eve in 1988, and from that night forward they were inseparable. On April 20, 1991, they were married, beginning a union that spanned more than three decades and was built on devotion, laughter, and unwavering companionship. Her absence leaves a quiet that echoes with her laughter and wisdom, and her caring spirit and generous heart will continue to be felt in the lives of those she touched.

Left to cherish Peggy's memory is her husband, Larry "Pat" Foster; sons, Matt Baker (Amanda), and Jamie Baker (Mary); grandchildren, Kellsie, Jordan Morgan, Maysen, Jakeb, Kayleigh, and Kinley; great-grandchildren, Skylar, Kynleigh, Paisley, Kaidyn, Kaislynn, and Montana; brother, William Bill Barnes (Joyce); and nieces, Krista, Michelle, and nephew James Eric. She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Flo Ann Scott and beloved Uncle Deb.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home, 463 East Main Street, Lexington, Kentucky. A second visitation will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, September 6, 2025, followed by a funeral service at 09:00 AM at the same location. Entombment will follow at Lexington Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Maysen Baker, Jakeb Baker, James Trosclair, James Eric Barnes, Kyle Sutherland, & Brandon Hunt.
