FROSH, Ronald A. - Age 90, of Durand, died May 31, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Durand Church of the Nazarene, 9725 E. Monroe Rd., Durand. Dr. Michael McCarty will officiate. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden and from 10 AM until the time of service Saturday at the church. Ron was born in Grand Rapids, the son of Milton and Ella Frosh. Ron graduated from Kearsley High School, attended Mott and U of M Ann Arbor. Ron spent his working life in the roofing industry, both in the residential and commercial field as a worker and then owner. Ron enjoyed deer hunting, marathon canoeing and sponsoring hockey teams. The most enjoyable times were spent watching his children during their activities and participating as a member of the Durand Nazarene Church. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan; six children, Carol (Michael) Mansell, Ronald Gary (Jane) Frosh, David (Kirsten) Frosh, Ellen (Ralph) Gilbert, Daniel and Edward Black; six grandchildren, Sean (Sarah) Mansell, Todd Gilbert, Krista (David) Wyman, Brittany (Gavin) Thomas, Megan (Austin) Zidar, Alexander Frosh; six great-grandchildren, Jakob and Savannah Mansell, Kolemyn and Caden Wyman, Grace and Gavin Hughes; sister, Ida Shields; brothers, Arno (Kathy) Frosh and Eric (Shellie) Frosh; sisters-in-law, Penelope Misner, Constance (Jeffrey) Huff; brothers-in-law, Thomas (Joyce) Misner and Richard (Dannette) Misner. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan; father, Milton (Dorothy); mother, Ella (Henry) Abraham; brothers, Milton (Grace) and Karl; brothers-in-law, Gerald Misner, Charles Shields; daughter-in-law, Lynn Frosh. A special thank you to supportive angels Dorothy Ives, Mary and Dane Sebesta, Jan Spezia, Jeffrey McManus, Al and Nan Lackey, who were so appreciated. Ron will be remembered for his strength, wit and devotion to his family and those in need. Memorial contributions will be welcomed by Respite Volunteers of Shiawassee and Hospice House of Shiawassee County. Visitation Friday, June 8, 2018 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM
