Ronald Ward Garrett, 89, of Royal Center, IN (formerly of Niles, MI) passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025 at Chase Center in Logansport, IN. He was born on June 11, 1936 in Pickett County, TN to the late Ernest Carl and Esther Evoline (Garrett) Garrett. While most of his friends and family knew him as Ron, he was affectionately known to his siblings by his middle name, Ward. He graduated from Stockwell High School in Stockwell, IN, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. On November 14, 1954, Ron married Donna Lee Deeming in Lafayette, IN and they had three sons. Sadly, their marriage ended in divorce. On December 9, 1975, Ron married Nelda M. (Onken) Manning in Francesville, IN. She passed away on February 4, 2019.

Ron attended the Indiana Business College. For many years, he worked as an Assistant Vice President at First National Bank of Southwest Michigan. Ron loved socializing with people. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing Euchre. Ron was proud of his two first place awards from the Euchre tournaments held on Area 5 Senior Day.

He was a member of the Dowagiac Lodge #2441 FOE. Ron was a member of the Tipton Lodge #33 F&AM in Logansport, former member of Royal Center Lodge #585 F&AM, and Past Master of Winamac Lodge #262 F&AM. He received his Award of Gold in 2007. Ron cherished the many friendships he made as Freemason.
