Surrounded by his family, Ron Genser, age 78 of West Deer Township, went to be with the Lord on the same day as his mother did in 2023 on January 29, 2025. Son of the late Clarence and Dorothy Genser, Ron was the loving husband of Sharon Genser of 43 years; father of Scott (Callie) and Craig (Emma); Pap Pap of Cameron and Henley; and brother of Richard (Deborah). Ron graduated from Shaler High School (‘64) and Duquesne University (‘68) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. He worked as a chemist for Gulf Research & Development Company for 17 years and Energy International Inc. as Manager, Administration & Operations. Ron enjoyed reminiscing of his disco dancing years and memories of travelling on 14 cruises. He was proud of his two law enforcement officer sons. Ron was a gentle soul with a kind and sympathetic heart. Despite living with MS for 40 years, he was always optimistic and accentuated the positives in his life.
Friends received on Monday, February 10th, from 2-6 p.m. at Perman Funeral Home, Inc., 923 Saxonburg Blvd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 11th, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Glenshaw.
