RONALD JOSEPH GLOZER, age 89, beloved husband of Janet (nee Lonce), loving father of Keville Miller (Dave),Beth Melendez (Rick), and Gary Glozer (Jeannie), dear grandfather of Erin Parr (Adam), Drew Nelson (Paige), Alexandra Melendez (Justin), Kelsey Melendez, Ryan Melendez, Jackson Glozer, Addison Glozer, Jamie Glozer, and the late Adam Glozer, great grandfather of Everett Nelson, and Fletcher Nelson, brother of Kenneth Glozer. Funeral Mass, Tuesday, December 5 at 10:30 am at St. Ladislas Catholic Church, 2345 Bassett Rd, Westlake, Ohio, 44145, where visitation will be held at the church Tuesday, Morning from 9:30-10:30 am. Ron's early years were spent in Scottdale PA, his family then moved to Uniontown where he attended Uniontown schools and graduated from Uniontown High School in 1952. After high school he managed a Dean Phipps auto store while attending Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA). He graduated from PIA and was offered a job in aircraft maintenance for United Airlines. He married his high school sweetheart, Janet, in 1955 and they moved to San Francisco CA to begin his career with United Airlines. His career brought him to Cleveland in 1959. He retired from United Airlines after 40 dedicated years. He was presented the Award of Merit by United Airlines. Over the years he also attended San Mateo Jr. College and Baldwin-Wallace College.
After retirement he spent his time doing what he loved traveling with Jan in their RV, attending stock car races, woodworking, gardening and spending time with his children and grandchildren and attending their many activities. He was meticulous and could repair almost anything. Above all he was a great husband, dad, gramps and great-gramps. We will miss you. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude, Shriners Children's, Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation(tttsfoundation.org), or National Kidney Foundation.
