Ronald Tuthill Guthrie, age 86, of Havre de Grace, MD passed away on February 8, 2016 at Citizens Care Center in Havre de Grace, MD. Born in Welsh Run, PA, he was the son of the late Lawrence Rawlings Guthrie and Mary Cornelious (Tuthill) Guthrie. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he was stationed in Germany during Peactime. He graduated from the University of Maryland where he received a degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked as a diesel mechanic, enjoyed music, and was active in his church where he taught Men's Sunday school classes and attended church functions. Ron and LeVerne were able to fulfill a lifelong dream by vacationing to the Bahamas and Jerusalem. He was dedicated to work and family and was loved by his wife, children, family and friends. Mr. Guthrie is survived by his wife, LeVerne Vonnett Guthrie; sons, Daniel J. Guthrie and wife, Helena, of Belcamp and John F. Guthrie of Bel Air; daughter Martha Lonnquist and husband, Thomas, of Baltimore; his identical twin brother, Donald F. Guthrie of Pennsville, NJ; sister, Elsie Cobun of Gwyneed, PA; and grandchildren, Amber Nicole Guthrie, Amanda Marie Guthrie, Anjulee Renata Guthrie, Joseph Christopher Vrablic and Avamae Guthrie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Rebecca M. Guthrie; brothers, James Guthrie, David V. Guthrie; and sister, Rosemary Guthrie.
