Ronald Warren Haley

Haley, Ronald Warren, 77, of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia, passed away on March 2, 2025. He was born on May 30, 1947, in Richmond, Virginia.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard Eugene Haley and Helen Norton Haley.

Left to cherish his memory and legacy are his wife of 54 years, Sharon Moses Haley; his son, Ronald Christopher Haley, of Memphis, Tennessee; his brother and sister-in-law, Robert Timothy Haley, Sr., and his wife, Cheryl, of Hartfield, Virginia; his nephew, Robert Timothy Haley, Jr., and his wife, Shannon, of Urbanna, Virginia; and numerous other family members and friends.

After graduating from Henrico High School in 1965, he joined the U.S. Air Force and retired as a Chief Master Sergeant from the Virginia Air National Guard, 192nd Fighter Wing, in 1997. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a school bus driver in Hanover, Chesterfield, and Goochland Counties for 17 years.

Ronnie was a selfless man, who was always willing to lend a helping hand, and an avid sports fan, who knew the value of teamwork and dedication. Eager to laugh and take on new challenges, he will be remembered always by those around him.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., March 12 at Bliley's Central, 3801 Augusta Ave., Richmond, VA 23230. A service will be held 1 p.m., March 13 at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery at Amelia, 10300 Pridesville Rd., Amelia, VA 23002.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org) or one's favorite charity.
