Ronald Hannenberg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Absolute Economical Funeral Home LLC on Mar. 28, 2023.
Ronald Frederick Hannenberg was born on March 25, 1959 in Fullerton, CA to Russell and Blanca Hannenberg. He was the youngest of 4 children. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, sister Elsie, and brother Russell. He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Linda, his brother Alfredo and his wife Minda and their daughter Emily, her husband Carlos and their son Revin. Also, daughter Mel and her husband Doug, son Axel and his wife Liz, and daughter Allyn and her husband Todd. He has 6 grandchildren that he loved and adored – Cale, Asher, Callie, Emmy, Harrison, and Beckham.
Ron joined the Air Force right out of college where he served for 20 years as a flight instructor and a C130, c141, and T1 pilot. Throughout his career, he and Linda were stationed in the Philippines, Japan, Charleston, SC, and Germany. While he was in Germany, he finished his masters degree. He retired honorably as a Lt. Colonel at Vance Air Force base in Enid, Oklahoma. After which, he worked under civilian contract for the Air Force for an additional 25 years teaching young pilots how to fly.
Ron was immensely intelligent, an obsessive baker and cook, loved to learn new things, loved a great book, starting multiple projects at a time, tinkering with gadgets and spending time with his beloved kids and grandkids. He leaves a legacy of integrity, love, family, and hard work.
