Ronald Eston Headen

Ronnie Headen, 72, of Greenville SC, finished his race on Wednesday, July 27, 2022. A native of Greenville, he was the son of the late Chester Eugene and Violet Gemma Hooper Headen. He was a wonderful husband, son, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. With a unrivaled passion for riding motorcycles and knowledge for racing, building race cars, go karts, and anything with a motor. Having built over ten race cars in his life and passing on all of his knowledge he undoubtedly left his mark in the sport he loved so dearly and the lives of his family members. He retired from Greenville Furniture after more than 30 years of dedicated hard work.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandma, Lizzie Headen, brothers, Peewee Headen, Mike Headen, sisters, Janie Bouvier, Elizabeth Bearden and daughter, Linda Headen.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Bonnie Gosnell Headen, children, Chris (Sharon) Headen and Ronda (Randy) Pryor; brother, Gene Headen; grandchildren, Kevin (Niki), Taylor, Ryan, and Grant Headen and great grandson, Sage Rhodes.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 1st from 3:00-5:00PM at Westville Funerals. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Tuesday, August 2 at Westville Funerals with Rev. Bobby Moore officiating. Burial will take place at 3:00PM on Tuesday at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
