In his high school days, he was known for his dancing, roller skating and his many part-time jobs. At an early age, Ron displayed the strong work ethic he would carry throughout his life. After a short stint teaching, Ron turned to real estate, which would be his lifetime career. Ron owned Ron Hibbard Realty for many years before shifting his focus to rental properties, which he and Sue owned and managed together. In addition to managing their business, he and Sue enjoyed considerable travel, much of which included their family. Ron loved to watch almost any sport, but his favorite was watching the Cincinnati Reds with Sue, as they rarely missed a game. Ron was also an avid sportsman, spending many summers with his boat and camper on Lake Erie and hunting during the fall and winter. In his later years, he and Sue spent many winters at their home in Florida.
