Ronald Glenn "Ronnie" Holmes, age 54 of Atlanta, Texas - born October 12, 1968 to Donald & Sandra Holmes, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 16, 2023.
Ronnie was a retired truck driver of 23 years. He owned and operated R&M Trucking for 16 years, he was a skilled mechanic, handyman and outdoorsman. Ronnie was a devoted husband, loving father, friend and Paw-Paw.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Donald Dale Holmes I, his mother Sandra Jones Hill, step-father Joe Lee Hill, grandparents, Clyde and Lucille Jones, father in law, Claude Ray Jones and grandmother, Margaret Holmes.
Ronnie is survived by the love of his life of 32 years, Mary Holmes: His children, Emmaly and husband Brent Wasson of Queen City, Texas: Ronald Foster "Bubba" Holmes and wife Audra of Snyder, Texas: Jaci and Kaden Holmes; brothers, Steven and wife Holly Holmes of Atlanta, Tx, Donald Dale Holmes II and wife Donna of Queen City, Tx; 6 grandchildren Kallen, Koy and Mesa Wasson, and Emery, Landon and Jaxon Holmes: Mother-in-law Martha Duke Jones of Atlanta; Sisters-in-love Stephanie and husband Donnie Wertz of Naples; Donna Jones of Atlanta and Lesa Jones of Kilgore; Nieces, Stacy Brooks, MacKenzie Latimer and Katie Holmes; Nephews Joe Reyes, Ryan White, Adam Shaw, Aaron Shaw, Cyle Jones, Christopher Holmes, Mickey Holmes, Brandon Holmes and Joseph Holmes and a number of other relatives.
Visitation will be Monday, February 20, 2023 6:00pm-8:00pm at Hanner Funeral Service. 103 West Main St Atlanta, Texas
Funeral Services will be Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at 2:00pm in the Hanner Funeral Service Chapel, with Bubba Holmes and Joe Reyes.
Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
