Nancy Corban Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hanner Funeral Service on Mar. 6, 2026.
Thursday, March 5, 2026, our precious mother Nancy Louise Corban, went to heaven and has been made whole again. She was born December 14, 1946, the baby girl of F.L. and Velma Richardson in Decatur, AL. She grew up in Natchez, MS and lived there until moving to Queen City, TX with her husband of 48 years, C.D. She was a member of First Baptist Church Queen City. She passed peacefully in her home surrounded by her loved ones.

To know our mom was to love her. She was always up for an adventure, especially if it involved thrifting or craft fairs! She loved cooking, tending flowers, reading and crafting. Her greatest love, though, was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She spoiled them greatly and was proud of it. She was adored by them as well, and they lovingly called her Nink Nink.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Daniel Corban. Her parents, F.L. and Velma Richardson. Brothers; Dwayne (Boone) Richardson, James (Jimmy) Richardson, and Jack Richardson.

She is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law: Tammy McClure (Stephen) of Atlanta and Jennifer Wagner (Jason) of Queen City. Sisters; Mary Wells of Atlanta and Doris Richardson of Vidalia, LA. Grandchildren; Brooke Wagner, Savannah Whatley (Seth), Rachael Wagner, Braden Tillie (Beatriz). Great-grandchildren; River Gibson, Khloe Beasley, Bridger Whatley, Leo Tillie, Colter Whatley and soon to arrive Gabriel Tillie. As well as numerous nieces and nephews and friends who were like family.

Her Celebration of Life will be held at First Baptist Church Queen City on Monday, March 9 at 1:00 pm. She requested you come as you are and wear cheerful colors in her memory.

Interment will follow at Queen City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ugandan Refugee Orphan Feeding Program at network153.net or Mark Hill at [email protected]

The family would like to thank everyone for the visits, texts, phone calls and food. Special thanks to Heritage Hospice and Melanie Stone for the care extended during our mom's illness. Also, we offer our most sincere appreciation to First Baptist Church Queen City and Hanner Funeral Home for the arrangements of her service.
