Jose Luis Rivera

Jose Luis Arredondo Rivera, age 47, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in a Texarkana, Texas Hospital. Jose was born October 6, 1978, in Parral, Chihuahua, to Jose and Petra Arredondo. He was the owner of Amigo Juan Restaurant, Atlanta; and was a member of St. Catherine's of Siena Catholic Church. Jose enjoyed spending time with his family, was an avid Atlanta Rabbits Softball fan and enjoyed spending time taking care of his cattle.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Berenice Reyes Arredondo of Atlanta, Texas; children, Jose Arredondo and wife Miranda, Daniela Arredondo, Gabriela Arredondo all of Atlanta, Texas; brothers, Luis Arredondo of Mexico, Juan Rivera of Hope, Arkansas; sisters, Maria Rodriguez, Vero Soto, Norna Gallegos all of Hot Springs, Arkansas; grandson, Joseph Arredondo of Atlanta, Texas; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Rosary will be held at 5 pm Friday, March 6, 2026, at Hanner Funeral Service.

Visitation will be Friday, March 6, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Atlanta Methodist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.
