Michael Lee Clayton

Michael Lee Clayton, age 78, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Thursday, March 5, 2026, at his residence surrounded by family. Michael was born October 19, 1947, in Atlanta, Texas, to Jesse Lee and Alene Clayton. He was retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church; and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, card games, his dogs and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Sherri Clayton; son, Chris Clayton; and by his parents.

He is survived by his children, Ron Seale and wife Melody of Texarkana, Texas, Stephanie Hubbard and husband Harv of Atlanta, Texas; sister, Rhonda Waters and husband Ronnie of Atlanta, Texas; his grandchildren, Brianna Musgrove, Baylee Solida, Brayden Solida, Adalyn Seale, Tristan Cullom; great granddaughter, Henslie Meredith; and a number of other relatives and a host of friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 6 pm to 8 pm at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 8, 2026, at Cass Baptist Church, with Bro. David Baxley officiating, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.

Interment will be in Cass Cemetery.
