Mr. Ronald W. Hudson, 84, of Wagners Hollow Road, Fort Plain, NY, died on September 22, 2024, at the St. Johnsville Nursing Home.
Ronald was born on August 27, 1940, the son of the late Paul W. and Florentine Dineen Hudson.
He attended Little Falls Schools and lived in the local area his entire life.
For over 35 years, he worked for Beech-Nut, Canajoharie, operating forklifts and checking shipments. He was also known to do many side jobs with his own equipment.
With his father, and Skip Barshied he enjoyed the many years he spent restoring Fort Klock, after school they would start working until the early morning hours. He also enjoyed antique gas engines, was a founding member of the Hudson Hollow Model Railroad Club, a member of the Coon Hollow Engine Club, River Valley Toy Club, and exhibited his collection of model tractors at many farm shows.
He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Robert P. Hudson, Sr.
Survivors include his friends Kay Offenborn and Dave Chase and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 27th, 2024, at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Fordsbush, NY.
Arrangments are entrusted to Fort Plain Funeral Home, 34 Center Street, Fort Plain, NY 13339.
