Ronald H. Hutchings of Sparta Tennessee passed away October 6, 2024 on his 82nd birthday of Parkinson’s Plus disease and Multi System Atrophy (MSA)
He and his identical twin brother Donald were born in Sparta, TN to Tillman and Christine Jones Hutchings. He was the grandson of R.I. and Emma Davis Hutchings and George and Erma Fuson Jones.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Tillman and Christine Jones Hutchings, and in-laws Manford and Wilda Baker Sexton.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 52 years Judy Sexton Hutchings. Children include daughter Christina Hutchings Savage and husband Mark, daughter Lisa Hutchings and three grandchildren, Wade, Emma and Blake Savage. Brother Donald Hutchings and wife, Helen, their sons Steven and Dr. Jonathan Hutchings and their families. Sister Patricia Broyles. In laws, Donald Sexton, Annette and husband Dr. Tom Mouat, Landon Sexton and wife Faye. A host of nieces and nephews.
Ronald was a graduate of White County High School and Tennessee Technological University. He worked 28 years as operator of the Sparta Waste Water Treatment Plant. Prior to that he was owner of Ben Franklin’s department store in Sparta, TN. He was an accountant for the State of Tennessee, as a state auditor, and worked at Hutchings Lumber Company with his father. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ronald had a brilliant mind. He loved math and often would do algebra and calculus problems for fun in his spare time.

Arrangements:
Funeral Service will be held at Bear Cove Baptist Church, where he was a member. Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 from 11-1 and funeral will follow at 1:00. Burial will be at the Hutchings Family Cemetery.
