Ronald Johnson was born to Pastor and Mrs. Joseph Johnson on May 3, 1953, in Good Hope, Clarendon Jamaica.
He attended Fort George Elementary school and further studied at a technical school. This landed him a productive and successful job at Worthy Park Sugar Industry Estates in Saint Catherine, Jamaica.
From a young child, Ronald was greatly loved and admired. He was well respected by his peers, as he exemplified the best qualities possessed by humanity. The love and respect he showed to others he received in return. He was a man of style and grace. He was friendly, courteous, polite, and personable.
While in Jamaica, he fathered his first child, Trudy-Ann Johnson with Patricia "Bev" Gordon and later migrated to the United States to have better opportunities for a successful and productive life for his child.
Out of a previous marriage to Elaine Douglas Ronald had three daughters, Sharon Lee, Shickeela "Keely" Johnson and Cassandra "Sandy" Johnson and was now a father of four beautiful daughters.
In March of 2006, Ronald married Claudette Smith. The marriage produced a son Ronniel Johnson and an incredible connection to the role as father to Trace Lloyd Johnson. The Bond between him and his sons was unmatched. He also inherited a wonderful stepdaughter Shashika Facey and grandson Aiden Gifford.
Ronald had an insatiable love for his homeland country, Jamaica. He carried the warmth, rhythm and spirit of his homeland and was always eager to return.
On February 5, 2025, per his usual routine, he travelled to Jamaica with the expectation to return to the United States in a few months. Tragically on March 18th Ronald had a massive stroke which regrettably took his life on March 25th, 2025.
Ronald was predeceased by his beloved parents Pastor and Mrs. Joseph Johnson and beloved brother Cleveland Johnson.
He has left to mourn, his devoted wife; Claudette Smith Johnson, children; Trudy-Ann Johnson-Clarke, Sharon Lee Judson, Shickeela Johnson, Dr. Cassandra Johnson, Ronniel Johnson, Trace Lloyd Johnson and Shashika Facey, siblings; Enid Brown, Olive Green, and Pauline Blake, nieces; Michelle Bogle, Lisa Fullerton, Dr. Khashana Blake and Natalya Johnson Esq., nephews; Rodrigue Charles and Matthew Johnson, grandchildren; Justin Judson, Daniel Brown, Elton "DJ" Clarke, Hailey Clarke, Ella Clarke, Lendell 'LJ" Bunion and Aiden Gifford, sons in law; John Judson and Elton "Dean" Clarke, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a great company of friends.
Ronald George Johnson was a man of grace and charm. He was kind to people and was always willing to make himself available to help others. He had a strong love for his family and the belief that family should live in love and unity. He has left a deep, gaping wound in our hearts and although he is no longer with us in body, his humble and loving spirit will remain with us always.
