He was a member of Waynedale United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his son, Douglas L. Johnson.
Ronald is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley A. (Zelt) Johnson; 3 daughters, Tamara A. (Robert) Hooker, Lisa R. (Mark) Howe, and Teresa M. (Richard) Ignace; daughter-in-law, Sandy Johnson; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Haggard-Hirschy & Zelt Funeral Home, with visitation held 3 hours prior to the service from 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

am so very sorry for your loss. I will always remember him for the joy he brought to everyone around him - whether it was the fun activities at home, the snowmobile rides, or the special times at the lake cottage. He had a way of making moments feel happy and meaningful.
He was truly kind and caring, and that is how he will always be remembered. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Sending you love, strength, and comfort.
