Ronald D. Kendrick, age 74, of Pikeville, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center. Ronald was born on Sept. 30, 1950 to his parents the late Jessie Kendrick and Myrtle Thacker Kendrick. He was the husband of Roxie Ann Kendrick, retired in sales of surface mining equipment and owner of Independent Steele Company.
Along with his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by three brothers, Larry, Cecil, and Eugene Kendrick, and two sisters, Jessie Lou Keene and Christine Francisco.
Along with his wife, Ronald is survived by one son, Ryan (Genevieve) Kendrick, two brothers, Randy Kendrick, Gary Kendrick, two sisters, Brenda Adams, Anna Gail Hall, one grandchild, Miles Kendrick Meadows, and a host of loving family and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday and Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, Feb. 14, 2024 at 1 P.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jim Newman, Brian Tackett, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Kendrick Family Cemetery at Upper Chloe.
