Ronald D. Kinnear, 85, of Lake City, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at UPMC Hamot.

Ron was born May 1, 1940 a son to the late Samuel M. and Mary Alice (Crawford) Kinnear.

Ron graduated from Erie Technical School in 1958. He began work at Erisco Manufacturing as a tool maker. Later he began work at Jackburn Manufacturing where he eventually became an Engineer after attending night school. Ron retired from Jackburn after 42 years of service in 2004.

Ron enjoyed hunting and fishing throughout his life.

In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby (Reyes); a son, Lt. Matthew Kinnear USAF; a grandson, Nathaniel Kinnear; two sisters, Betty Engesser and Lois Priester; two brothers, Melvin Kinnear and Sam Kinnear; and great grandson Camron Thomas Kinnear.

Ron will be greatly missed by his family which would include his long time companion, Andrea Machinski; three sons, Jeffery Kinnear (Lynn), Ronald Kinnear, Jr. and Stephen Kinnear (Tammy); seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and good friends Gloria and Tony Wisinski.
